| If you plan on using a computer to record
your music, then you'll need a computer! (Ha!) PC or Mac? Good
question. Get what you're comfortable with. Mac's are awesome
and come with GarageBand which is a part of iLife. PC's are most
likely less costly and you get millions of software and hardware
choices. I have both, so use what you have unless it's not powerful
enough to record all the tracks of audio that you want to record.
I have the Mac Mini. It's the lowest priced Mac
you can get. Plus it comes with GarageBand, so you're pretty much
good to go.

| The only thing you might consider is getting
a USB or FireWire audio interface. You'll get better results from
your recordings.
I have the Lexicon Alpha USB for my Mac. Very inexpensive.
For my PC I have the Tascam FireOne.

| You might also want to consider
a Multi Effects pedal that has USB audio built in.
Digitech makes several as well as Zoom and Boss

| I also use a PC Laptop and desktop with
Cakewalk Sonar. Most interfaces come with Cubase LE. I've
always used Cakewalk so I stick with it. |
